At Artisan Venture Tours, our team brings together event planning experience, hospitality knowledge, creativity, and a genuine love for meaningful travel and outdoor experiences.

We are planners, problem-solvers, and experience designers who understand that a successful corporate retreat requires both strategy and heart. From the first conversation to the final itinerary, our team works closely with each client to create a seamless, personal, and memorable experience.

Jon Hesse

Jon Hesse

President & Founder

Jon is a practicing attorney and has started and sold several businesses. He is presently the President of HT Leather Goods, Handbag Tailor, and Big Sky Programming and Digital Arts. Jon lives in Livingston, Montana, with his wife, Mary who is a nurse, and their cat, Teeka. Jon has been involved as a board member for many non-profits. Jon loves to fly fish, ski, bike ride and travel. He lost his leg to a cancer when he was in his early twenties and is a firm believer in making the most of the gift of life and to enjoy the people you meet and value all that you do- including work! These beliefs led to the formation of Artisan Venture Tours and are embedded in its values.

Bailee Shoell

Director of Sales & Event Planning

From Livingston, Montana, Bailee brings her creativity, passion, and warm smile to the team. Bailee is all about balancing her love for beauty, her outdoorsy roots, and embraces life's adventures. Her summers are spent hiking and soaking up Montana's breathtaking scenery, while fall is spent enjoying the crisp air and changing colors - nothing beats sweater weather! When winter rolls around, she spends her time snowboarding, curled up at home with a good book, or listening to mystery podcasts like True Crime Podcast (her guilty pleasure). On weekends, Bailee is a proud small business owner, where she spends time adding a little extra sparkle to the world by helping people feel their absolute best. She has knack for that, and turning everyday moments into something special. With her love for finding the perfect mix of glam and grit, and experience inspiring others along the way, Bailee brings a fresh perspective to the team!
Carissa Walsh

Carissa Walsh

Director of Sales & Event Planning

Carissa grew up immersed in the scenic beauty of western Wisconsin on her family's hobby farm, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stout with a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, a field that perfectly aligns with her passion for helping others. An adventurer at heart, Carissa spends her summers hiking through picturesque trails and has recently embraced a new challenge—learning to ski during the winters. Her love for staying active is constant throughout the year, fueled by her dedication to CrossFit, a passion that keeps her motivated and energized. One of her most unforgettable travel memories is from a jet skiing adventure in Florida, where she and her college girlfriends celebrated their annual "Girls Trip." Whether exploring nature or pushing her limits in the gym, Carissa is always ready for the next adventure, bringing enthusiasm and joy to everything she does.
Heather Klatt

Heather Klatt

Director of Sales & Event Planning

Heather is a native of Western Wisconsin, where she currently resides. With a degree in Hospitality Management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, Heather comes with many years of experience and success in sales and event management. Heather has a lifelong passion for sports, having played basketball, softball, and volleyball, and continues to participate in league volleyball year-round. She loves staying active by walking her new pup, Foster, hitting the gym, and exploring new destinations. Among Heather's most cherished experiences are running a full marathon and becoming a mother to twin boys.
